Job Description
As a Heating Engineer at JH Plumbing U-Fix Ltd, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in both residential and commercial properties across London. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring that all heating systems are installed and serviced to meet regulatory standards and client needs. This is a temporary, site-based position with flexible assignments, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to diverse and exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system issues and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure all heating installations meet building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide clients with advice on heating solutions and energy efficiency.
- Work with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of heating systems into construction or renovation projects.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on heating systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including time, materials, and services provided.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and offering expert advice.
- Ensure that the work environment is clean and safe, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of heating systems, including boilers, underfloor heating, and radiators.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications.
- Experience with both installation and maintenance of heating systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of current heating system regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a range of heating systems in both residential and commercial properties.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient heating solutions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
